Happy New Year

Hi again.

First & foremost, here’s wishing all of you a very happy new year, one that is filled with new hopes, new joys & new beginnings.

Hope you guys had a blast on New Year’s Eve and more importantly brought in the New Year the way you wanted to.

It's amazing how we look forward to the start of a new year with a hope that it will solve our problems & simplify our lives :)

Now, because I happen to be a person who does not depend but rather relies on miracles & prayers, I am more than glad that 2010 is over. Don’t snigger you bitches. This is courtesy the overdose of 70’s & 80’s bollywood which taught us that dua does wonders when dawa fails & wailing endlessly in a Temple / Church / Gurudwara / Dargah on a stormy night can stop a nuclear confrontation between India & Pakistan. Compared to these my problems are teeny weenie.

Actually, 2010 was a mixed bag. I achieved a few milestones that I had set for myself, erred on a few crucial decisions at important junctures, realized how much importance someone has assumed in my life and grew a lot closer to some people who I did not view very favorably earlier. In a nutshell, I feel I grew up a lot as a person, maybe more than the last 30 years of my life.

Okay, sentiments aside, December proved to be a great month with parents, sister & some of my nieces visiting me for a good 2 weeks in the 1st half. The year ended well with my guy getting an extended break from work, and for the first time in 3 years we were able to bring in the New Year together. After a lot of deliberation, we decided to be by ourselves, so we (actually he) cooked, cut a cake and yes all in all it was a memorable evening.

The month culminated with me meeting an ex colleague cum close friend who recently completed his MBA from one of the most reputed institutes in the world. Met him after more than a year and a half, so it was fun catching upon old times.

Now let’s see what 2011 has in store for me. I usually don’t make New Year resolutions because they go down the drain within a month. However, hoping that I will be able to achieve a few things I have in mind and also use my precious little spare time  more productively rather than spending endless hours on the internet.

I guess that’s it for now than.

Oh by the way, I already have three followers within a week of starting, which I guess is very encouraging.  Hope it gets better. Also, time to take some holidaying, secretive, non responsive people (read three different bitches) to task for being so luke warm…humph…

  2. @Pritesh - Even if they are, at least they are being encouraging - the way friends ought to be, unlike the bitches who made up excuses of not getting the link on time :p
